Your day begins with a personal visit from one of our activities staff, who check in to see how you are doing and to remind you what activities are available today. 7 days a week, we stay busy creating a full roster of individual and group activities, designed to keep your body healthy and your mind active and engaged.
Healthy Bodies
Every day, we provide gentle exercise programs, tailored to your specific needs. You may also choose from one of our specially designed versions of familiar games like playing ball or bowling, each adapted to your specific physical ability.
Fun and Games
What's your interest? Do you enjoy the challenge of trivia and word games? Or do you prefer the competition and camaraderie of group games like cards or bingo? We invite you to join in one of our weekly game gatherings... or to start one of your own (like the friendly card sharks in our Poker Club, who look forward to welcoming you to their table.)
Entertainment
Every week, we get together to enjoy each other's company and a night of fun - whether it's a themed movie night (presented with popcorn on our bigscreen tv) or a private show featuring professional performers.
Special Interests
Do you have something you particularly enjoy doing, such as cooking, crafting or singing? Then join us in "Nana's Kitchen"; or completing fun craft projects or as part of the "choir" during our weekly sing-a-long.
Parties
We invite you and your family to join us at any of the multiple events we hold throughout the year. This includes Care Center parties which celebrate holidays, birthdays and the seasons, as well as community events like our Grandparent's Day Brunch, Family Garden Party or holiday Blessing Tree Ceremony.
Special Trips
Life at the Care Center extends beyond our walls as we encourage you to visit with your family, either in their home or here in our Peace Garden. We also invite you to join us in eating out, shopping or enjoying the scenery and fresh air of the nearby 1200-acre Liberty State Park.
The Cognitively Impaired
Each resident is a vital member of our family - no matter their level of impairment. Every day, we visit them and provide activities designed to meet their special needs - whether it's feeling the human connection provided by a gentle hand massage, or the instinctive comfort afforded by hearing familiar music or holding a doll or stuffed animal. For those with a tendency to wander, we offer guided "Promenade Walks" around our facility, which help ease their anxiety.
